Description
Piet Wiegman (Heemstede 1930 – 2008) was a painter, draftsman, pen artist and etcher. He was taught by his father Jan Wiegman and by Piet Kloes. He was the son of Jan Wiegman (1884-1963), cousin of the ‘Bergense School’ artists Mathieu Wiegman and Piet Wiegman. He traveled to Mallorca with his uncle Matthieu Wiegman.
He paints, draws and etches in an expressionistic style of landscapes, figure representations, portraits and street scenes. Piet Wiegman was a member of ‘Kunst Zij Ons Doel’ and of ‘Kunst en Cultuur’ in Haarlem.
