Hendrik Hemmes (Den Haag 1887 – 1961), he was painter and musician, he worked and lived in The Hague 1924 to 1924, Batavia (Indonesia) 1930, Medan (Indonesia) 1930, The Hague 1936 to 1936, Arnhem 1945 to 1945 and finally in The Hague 1945 – 1961. He painted landscapes , still life and portraits.
