Description
Gerardus Johannes Roermeester (Den Haag 1844 – Den Haag 1936). The southern Dutch landscape of ditches and lakes was a source of inspiration for him. He was friends with Jacob and Willem Maris, for a year he shared a studio with Willem Maris in The Hague. The Hague Municipal Museum and the Kroller-Muller Museum in Otterlo has his work in the collection.
