Description
Ed (Cornelis Eduard) Antheunis (1876 – 1943) sculptor, pottery maker and manufacturer lived and worked in Gouda. Founder of the Art Pottery Factory Ed. Antheunis (EA) in Gouda (1910 to 1933). In the early years, the factory produced vases of red firing clay with a glassy glaze, but from 1929 onwards due to the crisis, the factory used white firing clay decorated with cold glaze.
