Description
Art-deco figurine by Charles Lemanceau (French 1905 – 1980) made by Sainte Radegonde, one of the most important French ceramic manufactures of the Art Deco period. This model was made with different glazes of which the crispé glazed is one of the first ones making it easy to date this piece to 1935-1936. This model with the exact same glaze is also illustrated in Patrick Malaureille’s book “Craquelés : les animaux en céramique 1920-1940” on page 91.
